Children's Retreat

The Hollis Lodge and the Meadow Cottage have been the location for several youth overnights.

We ask one adult to remain on site for every 8 youth in attendance.  Our day camp program, Hollis Crossings, offers programmed time for youth who have completed K – 5TH grade.  Hollis is a safe park.

Hike the Trails

Over 5 Miles of Trails

Over 5 miles of marked trails offer unstructured opportunities to come face to face with nature. Listen for the sound of bluebirds near the meadow or relax and contemplate God's work

in a marshy space on an observation platform. Whether hiking the hills or in the high meadow, there are many encounters with God's creation waiting to surprise you.

Stomp the Creek

Go with your friends, your family, your class, your date. All are welcome at Hollis.

What is Creek Stomping? You find a creek and you stomp in it. You can wear rain boots, water shoes, strap on sandals or even go barefoot in some cases. Some kids like to wear old sneakers. Some kids enjoy tossing sticks in the water and making dams with rocks, skipping stones and search for creek life.

Everyone can work together on this fun adventure.

Enjoy Geocaching ... Its Free!

Geocaching is an any day, any time kind of adventure that can take you to amazing places. Developed by an Eagle Scout, Hollis has 3 hidden boxes for geocache enthusiasts. You may checkout the geocache navigational GPS unit from the Welcome Center for free.

Try Disc Golf ... Its Free!

Play with Friends or Challenge Yourself

Disc Golf is very similar to traditional golf except instead of a ball and a hole you have discs and a basket. The goal of disc golf is to get the disc to land in the disc catching basket. Each basket is played as a par 3 (three throws per basket).

The player with the least amount of throws and lowest score is the winner.  You'll find Hollis has set up 5 disc golf cages in the meadow for you to use while on site.

Its Free!

Disc Golf is free.

The discs are available to check out in the Welcome Center.

Picnic Tips:

  1. Bring a Blanket You Don't Mind Getting Dirty.

  3. Pack a Few Throw Pillows.
  4. Pack Food in Sealable Containers.
  5. Pack Napkins, Cups, Plates/Bowls and Utensils.
  6. Bring Extra Water.
